Horton will take up the position from Dave Turner, who has decided to leave Corgi to pursue other interests, following a recent reorganisation of the business. Turner's future has been the subject of speculation for a few months, with ToyNews reporting back in February that he was about to depart from the firm.

As well as Turner, Corgi has also revealed this afternoon that Mark Summerfield has decided to take voluntary redundancy from the company. He has worked in the toy business for some 20 years.
