The like-for-like sales growth of 10.6 per cent was recorded over the six weeks to January 3rd 2010.

Year to date, total sales for the 45 weeks to January 3rd were 24 per cent ahead of the same period last year and like-for-like sales up 8.8 per cent for the same period.

The company now operates through 45 outlets and has ten new stores planned for 2010, including Peterborough and Stafford, which are both due to open in February.

Chris Crombie, chief executive commented: “I continue to be delighted with our strong performance and am especially pleased with these results.

"HobbyCraft served over six million customers in 2009 and we estimate that over Christmas four million cards were ‘HobbyCrafted’. We look forward to continued growth in 2010 and serving more new customers.”
