Christmas 2015 has proven to be a success for Hippychick, with the firm revealing it ‘exceeded expectations’.
According to the company, sales to key accounts saw the biggest increase, with a rise of 8.91 per cent year-on-year.
Sales on many of Hippychick’s individual toy brands also grew ahead of the previous year, with Nattou, Happy Hopperz and Moover up 66 per cent, 12 per cent and 37 per cent, respectively.
Plus, two new additions to the company’s portfolio in 2015, including the BoiKido wooden toy range and Pl-ug den, also witnessed an increase in sales.
Julia Minchin, MD at Hippychick, said: “The retail environment remains tough and many major retailers have posted disappointing results. To be ahead of the game is a real bonus.
“This is in part due to the toy trade, which was far more buoyant this Christmas compared to the same period in 2014, as well as our ability to select product that really hits the spot with consumers at Christmas time. But more so, it’s a testament to our committed team at Hippychick who have done a truly fantastic job getting the product out there.”
