Heelys unveils a range of new styles as it looks to broaden the appeal of its products.

The firm has launched 13 new styles and 29 new colour combinations in the US, as kids gear up to head back to school.

The new lines include the Ninja, the firm’s first model to include a graffiti patterned, mega-wheel in a low-profile skate shoe.

Don Carroll, senior vice president, marketing said: “With our back-to-school 2008 line we wanted to expand our wheeled footwear in order to embrace the diversity among youth's style, activities and personalities."

Details on UK availability are not yet clear.
