Hassenfeld steps down

Hasbro chairman Alan Hassenfeld is retiring after 35 years with the firm.

Hassenfeld will retire on January 1st but will stay on as an unpaid chairman of the board of directors.

His grandfather, Henry, founded the company as Hassenfeld Brothers in 1923. Hassenfeld was named chief executive in 1989 and kept that post until two years ago - when Alfred Verrecchia took over.

"Alan Hassenfeld epitomizes everything that is right about Hasbro," said Verrecchia.



TRU boss stepping down

Toys R Us has confirmed that chief executive John Eyler and its COO, Chris Kay, will step down when the company is acquired by private investors.


King steps back as Diver steps up

Character Options' group marketing director Jon Diver has stepped up to become joint managing director of the firm after chairman Richard King stepped down from the position.
