Harrogate show reveals speakers

New seminars unveiled for Harrogate trade shows.

Exhibition organiser HITF has unveiled a new programme of seminars and demonstrations to coincide with their three exhibitions in Harrogate in January 2008: Christmas & Gift, Card & Wrap and Clearance.

Industry gurus will take to the stage in Harrogate to share their knowledge and expertise with visitors to the exhibitions. The programme which is aimed at helping retailers improve their business practices and their profits will include: Internet or die? How vital is the internet? Make PR work for your business, How Visual Merchandising can increase your sales and Using Christmas products to improve your Christmas displays. There will be four seminars on the Sunday and Monday of the event.

Entry to the seminars and demonstrations will be free to registered visitors. The presentations will be fast-paced, informative and snappy. They will run on two consecutive days – Sunday 13th and Monday 14th January at the Harrogate Exhibition Centre. There will be four seminar sessions per day.

Each session will last around 30 minutes, enabling visitors to learn new ideas as well as shop the show.

Running concurrently with the seminars will be dynamic gift wrapping demonstrations by International expert Arona Khan. These will take place at the Card & Wrap exhibition in the Old Swan Hotel on the Sunday and Monday. Described by Harpers & Queen magazine as the world’s first gift wrapping consultant, Khan is renowned for her imaginative and creative gift presentation skills.

She will also be on hand to advise retailers about the most effective ways of setting up an in-store gift wrapping service in order to maximise profits and increase customer goodwill and loyalty.
