As Hape celebrates its 30th anniversary, the firm has detailed its new ‘We Care, We Share’ charity initiative.

When a consumer purchases a set of Hape 30th Anniversary blocks, a toy will be donated to a child in need in Syria, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Nepal, or China. Each set purchased has a unique serial number.

Elsewhere, the firm has supported rehabilitation centers, hospitals or schools for the autistic children across China.

Consumers can type their serial number into the Hape website to see where donations have gone to make a difference in a child's life.

'Stepping into Hape’s 30th anniversary, looking back at the past and looking into the future, we feel deeply that the larger the company is, the more we take our responsibilities seriously', read a statement from the firm.

'This year, we will do something for children living in war zones, disaster areas, poverty-stricken regions and contribute towards the care of autistic children.'
