The cross territory license deal is pan-European, including the UK, Eire, all of Europe as well as the Middle East.

The firm says it will enable it to expand its international wheeled, outdoor and inflatables market. In addition to the universally-known Spiderman, the Marvel Heroes property also features X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, The Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer.

Andrew Coplestone, Halsall sales and marketing director, commented: “We are thrilled to have secured this high-profile, pan-European license deal with Marvel. Spiderman is a leading license for boys and enjoys unrivalled awareness across international markets, and as such, it fits perfectly in to Halsall’s strategic license plan. We are delighted that Marvel has entrusted Halsall with such a fantastic opportunity to maximise our strong Pan-European distribution links and ensure that Classic Spiderman, Marvel Heroes and Spiderman and Friends send the Europe-wide market for wheeled, outdoor toys and inflatables into a spin in Spring 2008 and beyond.”
