The objective of the program is to protect forests while covering the need for wood as a raw material.

Haba's certification guarantees a sustainable origin and excludes any controversial source, meaning that the firm and all its suppliers are using wood from sustainable forest management.

Martin Nield, Haba’s UK manager, commented: “Haba places huge emphasis on protecting the environment for the next generation and it is this dedication to eco-friendly products that is fast tracking its toys to the top of consumer wish lists."

Haba's toys are also coloured with water-based, ecological solvent-free lacquers and cut-offs from production are used to fuel the factory.
