Thousands of Grumpy Cat stuffed toys are being recalled due to choking hazards.

Ganz, the manufacturer of the line has received six reports of the cat’s eyes detaching.

While no injuries have been reported, the firm is working with the Consumer Products Safety Commission to recall three styles of the plush.

The recall is for the eight inch Grumpy Cat in laying position, a five inch long sitting Grumpy cat and a four inch Grumpy Cat key clip.

Aimed at children aged three and above, the toys depict the glum expression of the cat that became an internet sensation in recent years.

Ganz is urging customers to immediately take the recalled toys away from children and contact them for a free replacement or a full refund.
