The Green Board Game Company has been awarded its third Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice.

The honour was collected by the firm at an awards ceremony hosted at the Houses of Parliament on November 11th this year.

The latest award joins a trophy cabinet adorned with environmental awards from 2010 and 2011.

Established in 1991, the Green Board Game Company was commended for its dedication to the environment through using recycled materials throughout its range and redesigning its packaging to minimise waste.

'For example, our BrainBox range and Snap cards are made from over 70 per cent recycled material and we regularly clean our warehouse skylights to maximise natural light and reduce the need for artificial lighting,' a statement from the firm read.

'We also won our Green Apple award for turning our best selling product into an electronic format, and creating a fun-filled app.'

CEO of Green Board Game Company, Keith, said: "We are thrilled to have been awarded a Green Apple for the third time in four years.

"It's within our values to stay as economical as possible, yet still produce great games."
