Together with Master Replicas, Cards, Inc will unveil the new product line at the Hong Kong Toy Fair in January.

The toys will look to embody the strong themes in the story - which is based on the first part of Philip Pullman's award winning book trilogy - and will focus on playability, fantasy, role play and collectibility.

"We are incredibly excited to have been chosen by New Line as worldwide toy partner for The Golden Compass," said Darren Epstein, CEO of Cards, Inc. "With the movie now underway, we feel sure that this licence is a perfect fit for us. Our planned range of products will immerse consumers into this exciting fantasy world and appeal to all sectors of the market - including mass retail and the specialty collector - beginning in October 2007."

Cards, Inc is also the master toy licensee in Europe for Harry Potter. Star Wars, Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean merchandise is also included in its portfolio.
