Gibsons names Kate Gibson as new MD

The company is entering its fourth generation of family ownership.

As Gibsons approaches is centenary year, the company is now entering its fourth generation since the firm began in 1919.

First established by Harry Percy Gibson, his granddaughter Kate Gibson is now set to step up as the company’s new managing director.

Elsewhere, Nicki Gumbrell the niece of Gibsons’ chairman Michael Gibson, who first joined the company in 1966, has been appointed to the position of sales director.

“We are extremely fortunate to have such a strong heritage; it is a big part of who we are today,” said Kate Gibson.

“I am really looking forward to the challenges ahead and alongside a great team; I am delighted to be able take our company into its next phase.”
