Some 200 schools took part in a Guinness World Record attempt organised by Flair and Gazillion Bubbles earlier this week for the most people blowing bubbles at exactly the same time.
Guinness set the target at 30,000 people, although Flair comfortably surpassed this with the current count standing at 34,000 with 20 schools still to declare their results. Indeed, the final total is expected to be more than 40,000.
Lindsay Hardy, marketing director at Flair, told ToyNews: "Even the rain and a postal strike didn't prevent well over 33,000 children joining in at over 200 locations nationwide to blow Gazillions of bubble to create a new world record.
"We are very grateful to everyone who took part; so many schools said how much fun the children had with the Gazillion products - and that's what it's all about."
