The frenzy for Frozen dolls has hit Australia, with shortages driving up prices on eBay.

Similar to limited stock experienced in the UK and the US, the strong demand in Australia is starting to overwhelm supply.

The Daily Telegraph in Australia reports that Frozen dolls are being sold for up to $1,000 on eBay, while dress-up costumes are going for $174 to $530 and a pin featuring the characters is listed for $445.

Disney has told The Daily Telegraph that while all Frozen dolls and merchandise is currently sold out nationally, more stock is expected in July.

Retailers have backed up this statement, with Target set to bring in 18,000 Elsa, Anna and Olaf dolls in July and Costumes.com.au looking to have Frozen merchandise in stock by June.
