The UK merchandise programme for Flappy Bird is taking off, with plush toys, key rings and an annual on the way.
Lisle International Licensing has signed deals with Pedigree for a Flappy Bird annual, Giromax for key rings and PMS International for vending plush.
These partners join a roster including Character World and its Flappy Bird home textiles line and Fashions UK with back to school and apparel lines that launched in August.
“There is a great demand for Flappy Bird product," said Francesca Lisle from Lisle International.
"In just nine days over 50 million downloads were achieved and now the game is back available on Amazon Fire and will soon be available once again to download on other platforms .
"The simple graphics and instantly recognisable characters lend themselves to a whole manner of merchandise and is highly adaptable across many age ranges from four years right though to adult. There are however, many more opportunities to be had all of which could prove very lucrative for partners. There is after all only one Flappy Bird."
