Flair teams with social media's SV2 and CheekySport for Messi Football Training range launch

The toy firm is now preparing for football fever to sweep the nation as the World Cup 2018 edges ever closer to kick-off.

GP Flair is ramping up the support for its Messi Football Training range ahead of this year’s big sporting event, the World Cup.

The firm is creating a series of activities with the football fan and social influencer SV2 in conjunction with the online sporting channel, CheekySport.

SV2 is a young football fanatic who uses his own football talents for his digital content to provide viewers with training, challenges, unboxing and general football information. Over he past two years, he has gained 340,000 followers and a total of 32 million views.

Meanwhile, the Messi Football Training activation went live on March 15 this year and includes four different videos created by SV2 and shared acorss his social channels.

This will be supported by the sporting channel, CHeekySport who will be placing content in its own social sites and n particular SnapChat and Twitter where they expect a high interaction rate through likes, comments, reposts and shares.

The channel has almost 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and 13 million views, most from the UK.

Sybil Baiden, product manager at GP Flair, said: “This campaign is perfect for our Messi Football line as the audience could not be more targeted. It was also very important to put together content that was fun to watch and true to life.

“Yes, the products are used and mentioned, but never at the expense of the content which we think is the perfect way to show them at their best.”

The Messi Training System includes a variety of sets that are perfect for kids to hone their football skills such as the Championship Edition Messi Training Pro Warm-Up Ball, the 2-in-1 Soft Touch Training Ball Assortment, the MEssi Auto Trainer and the 4-in-1 Training Station.
