Popular Spanish action figure toy range Mutant Busters is making the move to the small screen in a new animated series from Planeta Junior.

Aimed at kids aged between six and eight years old, the Mutant Busters range from Famosa was first launched in 2013, and combines AR technology with real life gaming.

Within the Mutant Busters world, earth has been divided into two parts: one inhabited by humans, called La Resistance, and the other, by mutants hell bent on taking over the planet.

With 52 Mutant Buster episodes in the pipeline, the series will be unveiled for the first time at the 2015 Kidscreen Summit.

“We are very excited about the Mutant Busters having a leading role in a television series which will be a doubtless success,” said Eduardo Garagorri, CMO at Famosa.
