Board game and collectable specialist, Esdevium Games has appointed a new managing director.
Steve Buckmaster has stepped into the role as he replaces Daniel Steel who leaves the firm to take on a new role at Esdevium’s parent company, Asmodee Group.
Having held the role of sales director since 2002, Buckmaster will take on the new position with immediate effect, overseeing Esdevium’s growth within the UK and Europe.
“It is an exciting challenge for me personally at an exciting time for the company,” said Buckmaster. “Esdevium has progressed so much in the time I have been here and I now hope to drive that success further.”
Having held the position of managing director at Esdevium for 20 years, Steel will maintain some involvement with the firm going forward as chairman of the board.
“I am a little sad to step aside from the day-to-day running of Esdevium which has been such a big part of my life for such a long time,” he added.
“However, I am delighted that Steve is taking over the role. There is no better person to lead the company for what will be an exciting new chapter.”
