The former Youngsters MD joined the firm in November after departing from the retail group but is understood to have left to pursue other opportunities, preferring a sales and marketing-based role rather operations and processes.
Elsewhere, buying and marketing director of The Entertainer, Mark Dixon, has left the firm to join Toys-R-Us as divisional merchandise director for its non-toy division.
Dixon joined The Entertainer in May 2000 when it had 22 stores and has been instrumental in helping the business to grow to over forty shops in the intervening seven years.
"We wish Mark success in his new role and are grateful to him for his contribution to The Entertainer," said boss Gary Grant.
In the short term, Gary Grant and Stuart Grant will oversee the buying of ranges for The Entertainer and Stuart Grant will continue to head up the Gadgetshop business.
