Retailer Dunelm has detailed plans to acquire baby goods specialist Kiddicare, in a bid to boost its online offering to customers.

The acquisition is part of an 8.5 million rescue deal for UK shopping group, Worldstores.

Kiddicare was first bought by Worldstores back in 2014 by private equity owners, where it joined the group’s line-up of home and furniture sites.

Dunelm plans on completing the acquisition today, which could see Worldstores briefly enter administration.
