Parent and babies were invited to Daniels Store toy department in Windsor last week to take place in sensory developmental Play Date with author and TV presenter, Dr. Miriam Stoppard.

The event was held in order to demonstrate to new parents the best sensory techniques to use when playing their youngsters.

Dr. Stoppard offered advice on child development, the importance of play and demonstrated her range of first Years toys for babies and toddlers, developed in partnership with Galt Toys.

Parents and Mummy Bloggers were then invited to ask questions in a Q and A session, covering topics such as the importance of play, tips for engaging with children and the small changes that can make a difference to play.

“I am a firm believer that parents are the best first teacher for their child,” said Dr. Stoppard. “This event allowed parents to develop their skills and learn new ways to interact with their child.”

The Dr. Miriam @ Galt range consists of 21 wooden, plastic and soft toys designed to encourage learning through play.

“The range developed with Galt Toys is designed to make playtime educational and promote learning, all while having fun,” concluded Dr. Stoppard.
