The Leicester Artisan Festival 2010 will take place on Sunday April 25th at Leicester Market and will host over 200 stalls, promoting and selling collectables and arts and crafts.

The free event, organised by Leicester City Council, will be the first of a series of one day festivals and will feature workshops, demonstrations, entertainment, street theatre and refreshments.

Steve Sansom, chairman of Dominoes Toys, commented: “Dominoes Toys is delighted to be sponsoring the first Leicester Artisan Festival. We have so many talented artists and craft people in Leicester, many of whom are customers of Dominoes arts and craft department.

“We are hoping that the festival will encourage more interest in the different crafts being demonstrated and that for our local artists it will be an opportunity for them to show off their work. We are sure it will be a great day for everyone involved and hopefully the first of many.”

Joseph Harkin, market development manager, added: “We are thrilled that Dominoes have decided to sponsor the Artisan Festival and consider them to be a perfect fit with the event."
