The 24 hour event is on Wednesday November 24th and anyone shopping between 9.30am Wednesday and 9.30am Thursday will find savings throughout the store.
Chairman of Dominoes Steven Sansom commented: “It’s another first for Dominoes, we are really excited about this event – there are a lot of people who cannot get into the city centre during the day, either due to work or family commitments.
“Opening 24 hours gives those people the opportunity of a one-off Christmas shopping spree and a chance to beat the Christmas rush – plus during the 24 hour event we have a fantastic offer worth coming for."
Dominoes offers a wide range of toys and games and also has a nursery department. Products on offer include puzzles, Scalextric, models, railways, Airfix and other arts and crafts.
Activities are planned throughout the day. The Leicester Sound Thunder Crew will be at the store from 10.30am-12.30pm and 6-8pm; there will be face painting and balloons for the children and a great prize draw to win £200 of Dominoes Gift Vouchers.
Dominoes marketing manager, Ginette Gisborne, has co-ordinated the event to include a teaser campaign through two local radio stations and the local newspaper as well as using blue-tooth on the Leicester Park & Ride Services.
Gisborne said: “In the current climate it’s crazy to stand still and we want to try new and different events that are just a little bit more interesting. Our store colleagues are very excited about the event which I am sure will prove to be a huge success.
“The early hours of the morning may be a little quieter but we have 250 metres of Christmas Garland to hang throughout our 4 floors so they’ll still be kept busy.”
