DKL's Hama celebrates another year of growth following nationwide events

Stores across the UK host Make and Take days and Guess the Bead competitions; DKL encouraging more stores to take part

DKL is celebrating another year of growth for its Hama Beads arts and craft range following a summer of in-store Hama events across the country.

Stores around the UK have hosted Hama Make and Take days and Guess the Bead competitions, helping to drive footfall to their stores as well as further supporting the range.

DKL is encouraging further stores to get involved with the events by providing all the material needed, stating that all that a store needs to take part is space for children to sit and make models.

David Allan, sales and marketing director, said: "DKL have always worked hard to support stores with a good variety of point of sale materials. We feel the Make and Take and Guess the Bead competitions offer a unique way for a store to engage with their customers.

"We fully support each make and take by prompting it through our social networking pages to help spread the word."

Buoyed by a TRA special recognition award this year and the continued success of its Hama Beads creative line, DKL is expecting further growth in 2007 with its Corolle dolls, Viking plastic toys and Wonderworld wood ranges. Ronnie Dungan speaks to MD Kai Hawaleschka about its steady progress?
