Dallas show figures in

Final numbers are in for the recent Fall Toy Show in Dallas.

The figures state there were 283 exhibiting companies covering nearly 148,000 net square feet, a 60 pe rcent space gain compared to last year’s show at New York’s Javits Center. Visitors included 775 buyers from 440 retail outlets. Among international buyers, 34 Canadian retail outlets and 110 other international retail operations attended.

All told, overall attendance was 1,720 from 31 countries, according to the TIA.

TIA commits to Dallas

The Toy Industry Association (TIA) has committed to holding the Fall Toy Preview show at the Dallas Market Centre until 2010.


US fall show on the move

The Toy Industry Association decided Monday night to move the 2007 American International Fall Toy Show - the mass market show - to Dallas, according to US mag Playthings.


New direction for NY show?

The success of this year’s American International Toy Fair in New York, without the Toy Center building, could open the way for a new more centralised show.
