Following its launch in August last year with the classic Ben 10 glass marbles, Corinthian is now preparing for the release of the two new collections this summer.

Both series will have 370 different marbles to collect, featuring the most popular characters across 82 large and 288 small marbles. Each marble has a Power Pointz rating between one and ten for the competitive game.

Some collectors may also find one of the ten newly introduced, rare black marbles with an unbeatable power rating of 11.

Commenting on these deals, Corinthian’s marketing director Barry Hughes said: “We are very focused on making Marbz a must-have collectable this year and linking with two of the biggest boys’ brands will certainly help build our fan-base.

“With each pack of five marbles selling for just 99p, this is the perfect pocket money item and we know they will be attracted by the Bakugan and Gormiti characters on the marbles. We look forward to presenting the new collections at Toy Fair and to kick starting “The Year of the Marb” in style.”

In addition, the Ben 10 series will be refreshed this spring to focus on Alien Force characters, as well as the launch of a Soccer Marbz collection to celebrate this summer’s World Cup.

Almost 1500 different marbles will therefore be available to collect in 2010 and Marbz will be supported by TV advertising, consumer press and PR activity to drive awareness.
