The American CIA has a collection of Osama bin Laden action figures, developed in the hope that they would scare children away from Al-Qaeda influence.

The Washington Post reports that the figurine, code named 'Devil Eyes' would be made of material that when peeled off, would reveal ‘a demon-like bin Laden with facial markings and green eyes.’

The CIA had teamed with the former Hasbro executive, Donald Levine, the man behind the popular GI Joe action figure, to help develop the doll.

Levine, who passed away this year aged 86, was approached for his extensive knowledge n the industry and production contacts in China.

Reports suggest that hundreds of toys were made as part of a pre-production run and sent to Karachi in Pakistan in 2006.

However, the CIA has denied the claims and stating that they toys never went in to production.

“To our knowledge, there were only three individual action figures ever created, and these were merely to show what a final product might look like,” said CIA spokesman Ryan Trapani.

“After being presented with these examples, the CIA declined to pursue this idea and did not produce or distribute any of these action figures.

“Furthermore, CIA has no knowledge of these action figures being produced or distributed by others.”
