Chicago Toy and Game Fair reveals Best in Show 2013

Thousands of attendees cast their votes for the best new toy and games showcased at the two day event

The Chicago Toy and Game Fair celebrated it's 11th annual event this year where it unveiled its Best Toys and Games in Show for 2013.

More than 20,000 turned out to witness the event that celebrates the power of play and creativity with interactive exhibits, events, contests, tournaments and more.

Thousands then cast their votes for the best new toy and games showcased during the two-day show.

The Best in Show were:

Best Toy:
• Crazy Cart (Razor)
Runners Up:
1. Maxi Micro Kickboard Scooter (Kickboard USA)
2. Cuboro Marble Track System (Cuboro)
3. Tenkai Knights by IONIX (Spin Master)
4. Marusenko Sphere (Lion Rampant imports) and Shoulder Buddies (Shoulder Buddies)

Best Game:
• Settlers of Catan (Mayfair Games)
Runners Up:
1. Jumbo Bananagrams® (Bananagrams®)
2. Squashed (PlaSmart)
3. Top Trumps (Top Trumps)
4. Schmovie (Galactic Sneeze) and Daytrader (Lyon Works)

The event also played host to the seventh annual Young Inventors Challenge, exhibiting over 100 toy and game prototypes, while Star Wars fans were treated to a meal with Chewbacca, Storm Troopers and other costumed characters at the annual Star Wars luncheon, hosted by Hasbro and Top Trumps.
