The Character Group is looking to make the most of the current Sudoku craze, picking up two products endorsed by TV presenter Carol Vorderman.

The company is planning to roll out two travel-sized products for fans of the number puzzle. The first is a handheld LCD game with over 750 grids for £19.99. Meanwhile, a touch screen version will cost £29.99 and include over 100,000 permutations of the game.
A plug and play version (£29.99) will follow later this year.

Jon Diver, group marketing director for the Character Group, said: ?Carol Vorderman is the quintessential UK personality when it comes to number puzzles and we are thrilled that she is helping us to develop the line. The product will apply to a very wide audience and we anticipate that the line will be one of the top selling products this Christmas.?

Vorderman added: ?I am delighted to be teaming up with Character to bring Sudoku to a wider audience.?
Vorderman has already released the best selling How to do Sudoku book and also introduced an hour-long show on Sky One earlier this summer. More shows are likely to follow in the autumn.
