Character forges ahead

Nothing but good news for Character Options, as it announced half-year results showing turnover up nearly 40 per cent and pre-tax profits more than doubled on the same period last year.

In the six months ended 28th February 2007, turnover increased 37.6 per cent to £56.03 million from £40.72 million the year before. Operating profit was up by around 80 per cent from £3.67 million to £6.59 million. Pre-tax profit increased from £2.96 million to £6.3 million.

Chairman, Richard King (pictured) said: “Taking into account the on-going strong demand for our continuing lines and our new introductions, we are very excited about our prospects and expect to see further exciting growth as we continue to build our existing brands and develop new ones.”
