Carte Blanche Australia has picked its first ever award for the Tatty Teddy Speaker Bear.

The firm won the Toy Category at the first Gift and Life Instyle Awards (GALA) in Sydney.

GALA showcases trend-setting products across a range of categories in the Australian retail sector.

Tatty Teddy Speaker Bear plays music through his paws, with kids placing a portable music player into his pouch. The volume can be adjusted by squeezing Tatty Teddy’s paws.

“It’s a huge honour to receive this award, particularly in the toy category which is a relatively new sector for us," said Carte Blanche Australia, managing director, Sandra Benny.

"It took significant hard work, investment in planning and research to launch our toy range, and we were always confident that we had developed some truly outstanding products. It’s fantastic to receive such positive validation from leading retail experts.

"2014 is set to be quite a year for Carte Blanche Australia.”
