Buoyant Vtech Zooms in

Vtech has launched its new Kidzoom multimedia digital camera and revealed stellar results.

Kids can use the Kidizoom to take photos, make movies and play games.

Features include interchangeable face plates for personalisation, a creative workshop to edit photos and a range of in-built games to play on the go or via the TV or PC.

VTech claims that children will find it easy to capture and snap away with a dual viewfinder, 1.8-inch high-resolution colour LCD screen, flash, and big chunky buttons. It has 16MB of internal memory but takes SD cards.

The Kidizoom costs £59.99 and is available now, with a pink version exclusive to Toys R Us.

Meanwhile, firm recently announced its full year results which showed pre-tax profits up and revenues rising 21.5 per cent.

The firm reported a pre-tax profit of $201.5m for the year to March 31st against $140.1m last year. Revenue increased to $1.46bn from $1.20bn a year ago.
