The firm will help raise funds for the charity through the sale of the new Pudsey bear, with £5 from each purchase going to the BBC’s appeal. T-shirts for the bears will also be available, with each sale donating a further £1.

All money raised will go directly to projects whose aim is to positively change the lives of children and young people across the UK.

Every Pudsey Build-A-Bear purchased that is registered online at www.buildabearville.com, will receive a bandana for their online character, 2.000 bear bills, an Animal adventure and an extra Cub Condo room and themed wallpaper. Plus, customers who purchase Pudsey Bear from October 1st to November 1st will receive an additional 1,000 bear bills.

In addition, Pudsey will be visiting Build-A-Bear Workshop over half term with children’s parties in key shopping centres across the country. Activities will include face painting, games and each child will receive a goody bag.

Founder and chief executive bear, Maxine Clark said:

“Build-A-Bear Workshop is delighted to announce our new charity partnership with BBC Children in Need. This charity has a special place in the hearts of the people in the UK and we are very honoured to be supporting this programme which is so important to our Guests.”

Emma Bradley, external affairs director at BBC Children in Need said:

“We are very excited to be working with Build-A-Bear Workshop this year. Children are at the heart of everything we do and Pudsey is such a loveable character, so it’s wonderful that children will be able to make their very own Pudsey and enjoy such a personal experience. This partnership is the perfect fit.”

Pudsey Bear will retail at £15 and the Pudsey Bear Tiny Tee will retail at £5
