Global toy developer and distributor Blue Ocean Toys International Ltd has been formed.

It's a joint venture between Netherlands-based Blue Ocean Toys and Hong Kong's Goodmark Group.

It will be presenting its first products to the trade during the 2013 Previews in Hong Kong until October 21st.

"After more than 12 years of shared experience in the toy industry, the team at Blue Ocean Toys started up earlier this year with toy distribution in Benelux, Germany and Austria, as well as the initial development of its own IP and toy concepts," said Blue Ocean Toys MD Nico Blauw.

"We believe the formation of Blue Ocean Toys International Ltd with Goodmark provides us with great opportunities to accelerate the execution of our plans."

Stephan G. Volcke, Chairman of the Board of the Goodmark Group, added: "Our core business of party and seasonal items is very much related to the toy industry and for several years now we have had a strong interest in expanding into key toy categories - teaming up with Blue Ocean Toys allows us to do just that.

"Nico Blauw and the talented team at Blue Ocean Toys are committed to product quality and have a proven track record of innovation, providing a great match with the underlying values of our commercial strategy."
