BLE 2010: MV Sports snaps up new Chapman licences

Little Charley Bear and Raa Raa The Noisy Lion join toy firm's portfolio

MV Sports has signed a deal with Chapman for the licensor's two new properties.

The toy company will create wheeled toys – including trikes, bikes, skates, sit and ride, walkers and battery operated ride-ons – for Little Charley Bear and Raa Raa The Noisy Lion.

Little Charley Bear products will arrive first, hitting retail in spring/summer 2012, followed by Raa Raa toys in autumn/winter 2012.

"We are pleased to be working with MV Sports & Leisure," said Valerie Fry, director of licensing at Chapman. "They have great retail distribution and the new product ranges are innovative wiht mass appeal for boys and girls alike."

MV Sports' sales and marketing director Phil Ratcliffe added: "Both Raa Raa and Little Charley Bear are great licences and are tailor made for wheeled toys."
