Bike Ride teams all set

The teams and route for this year?s Toy Trust Big Kids Bike Ride has been finalised.

The ride from Lands End to John O’Groats and back starts on Saturday May 17th and aims to raise a minimum of £100,000 for the Toy Trust.

The teams are as follows:

Lands End to Launceston - Character Options; Launceston to Bridgewater - RC2; Bridgewater to Worcester – HIT; Worcester to Whitchurch – Spinmaster; Whitchurch to Lancaster – Vivid; Lancaster to Carlisle- Mattel; Carlisle to Peebles – Zapf; Peebles to Dunkeld – Flair; Dunkeld to Aviemore- Disney; Aviemore to Tain- GMTV; Tain to John O'Groats – Hornby; Launceston to Lands End – BBC; Bridgewater to Launceston – Tomy; Worcester to Bridgewater – Hasbro; Whitchurch to Worcester - Bandai sponsored (includes Coiled Spring, BTHA, Toyology and NPD); Lancaster to Whitchurch - Pursuit NHA.



Fun Day becomes Big Kids Bike Ride

Due to a clashing of the BTHA Fun Day and the World Cup final it has been decided by the Toy Trust Committee to replace the annual Fun Day with a ‘Big Kids Bike Ride’ this year.

The full line-up for the Toy Trust’s Big Kids Bike Ride has been confirmed and ToyNews will be providing regular updates on the ride as the teams progress.


Bike Ride heads for home straight

Teams of riders from Flair, PR firm Norton & Co, Treasure Trove and Leapfrog are on the road for the Big Kids Bike Ride today, taking the ride as far as Churchill near Bristol in readiness for the final leg tomorrow.
