Big total for Toy Trust Ball

This year's Toy Trust Ball was another big success for the official toy industry charity, managing to raise £95,000 on the night.
Publish date:

The event, held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London saw money raised through a balloon raffle, roving auction board and media auction on the night. The Toy Trust is hoping to replace the November ball with a summer event next year.

Toy Trust chairman Robert Mann commented: "This year's Toy Trust Ball at the Royal Garden Hotel proved even with reduced numbers to be a major success. Over £90,000 was raised on behalf of disadvantaged and handicapped children both in the UK and abroad. I cannot thank those that sponsored the event and those that donated to the raffle and media auction enough. Their support was further enhanced by the generous bidding from the suppliers present. This was the last Toy Trust Ball so it was great to finish with such a memorable event. Thanks to Natasha for providing a great theme and invigorating band."
