Extended this year from the traditional top ten to a dream dozen, the emphasis this year was back on innovation after last year's Bratz V Barbie and retro toy-dominated selection.

Hasbro had four products in the top 12, namely, B Daman Tournament Set, the new-improved Furby, Darth Vader Voice Changer and Monopoly Here and Now.

Mattel scored a hat-trick of products with Tumble Time Tigger, Tyco Cyber Shocker and Barbie Pegasus Annika, while Vivid's Crazy Frog plush and Bratz Rock Angelz also made the cut.

Character Options' Roboraptor also featured, along with Tomy's innovative Steam Along Thomas and Zapf Creation's new Baby Annabell.

Elsewhere, Character and Vivid dominated the Big Kidz top ten with four products for Vivid and three for Character with its Dr Who and Robo ranges.

The Boys' top ten included Bandai's latest Power Rangers line plus, in a big year for the Star Wars licence, Rubies Darth Vader Dress Up.

Mattel and Vivid dominated the girls sector with Vivid's Bratz Rock Angelz and Big Babyz plus Amazing Amanda. Mattel had five products in the girls' list with Winx, Pixel Chicks, Polly Pocket and Barbie Pegasus and Styling Head.

In Games there was success for Radica's 20Q Table Top, Re:Creation's Cranium Hullabaloo and Character Options' Sudoku.
