Big On Toy Innovation (BOTI) has signed a three-year agreement with K'Nex to distribute its products throughout Europe.

BOTI will cover territories including France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg.

The company will distribute classic K'Nex building sets including Thrill Rides alongside licensed lines based on hit properties such as Angry Birds and Nintendo.

The agreement starts on January 1st 2014 and will run through 2016.

BOTI will support the K'Nex range throughout its territories with a TV campaign and a broad multimedia PR campaign engaging both kids and parents.

Nico Blauw, CEO of BOTI, said: "We're thrilled to be given the opportunity to work on the K'Nex brand which offers such a rich heritage in creative and educational toys.

"The construction toy category continues to go from strength to surength in a challenging toy market and the innovation that K'Nex has brought to their lines while staying true to their brand DNA and their motto of 'Building Worlds Kids Love' clearly shows why K'Nex products stimulate the imagination of children of all ages, allowing them to build and play."

Holly Hammond, director of international sales and business development for K'Nex, said: "We are excited to begin working with the BOTI team.

"We believe that the industry experience and entrepreneurial spirit of the entire BOTI team will provide much needed focus to reinvigorating our brand in these European toy markets."

K'Nex has recently confirmed its plans to set up in the UK, with new offices in the territory. Read the full story here.
