BBC Worldwide announced a raft of new licensing deals at Toy Fair including master deals for Cbeebies hits Tikkabilla and Big Cook, Little Cook.

Golden Bear was appointed master toy licensee for Tikkabilla. The Spring range for key character Tamba features plush and bean toys, with a Tikkabilla clock and Talking Tamba plush following later in the year.

Martin Yaffe will market a range of Big Cook, Little Cook cookery and baking sets to be used for real cooking, as well as role play, and dress up and action/plush figures of Ben and Small.

Toy Brokers is launching board games for Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow and Match of the Day Autumn 2005, while Smiffy?s will produce Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow joke and novelty items at the end of the year.

David Halsall International has been appointed as lead licensee for Match of the Day and will market a range of sports toys and novelty gifts, with many lines incorporating the MOTD theme tune, for Spring 2005.

The firm also extended its licences for Tweenies and Fimbles to include tents, play tunnels, trampolines, musical batons, tennis sets, skipping ropes, pom-poms and ball pit swings plus a range of Tweenies Xmas Decorations for launch this year.

BBC secures Ragdoll deal

The BBC has entered into a joint venture with production company Ragdoll, securing the long-term rights to programmes such as Teletubbies, Boohbah and Tots TV and including new properties Tronji and In the Night Garden (left).
