Banksy torments plush animals with 'Sirens of the Lambs' piece

New York art sees cuddly animals taken around the streets in the back of a slaughterhouse truck
Publish date:

The mysterious artist Banksy has revealed his latest creation, and it involves plush toys in peril.

Forming part of his 'Better Out Than In' New York stay, the 'Sirens of the Lambs' sees a slaughterhouse delivery truck filled to the brim with plush animal toys travel the streets of New York.

The toys can be heard squeaking through the boards of the truck and Banksy's website states the piece will be "touring the meatpacking district and then citywide for the next two weeks."

An audio file on the site states the piece is either a statement on the 'casual cruelty' of the meat industry or 'something vague and pretentious' about losing childhood innocence.
