Bananagrams is going global after securing distribution agreements in a further seven countries.

The popularity of the fast paced word game already spans across 31 countries and it is available in seven different languages including English, Hebrew, Italian, Spanish, French, German and Norwegian.

Bananagrams’ new partnerships will now see the game produced for six more languages.

Rena Nathanson, Bananagrams CEO, said: “I’m delighted that we’re able to bring Bananagrams to these new audiences around the world.

"The game translates perfectly into almost any language, so this is the natural next step for Bananagrams in terms of creating even more fans around the world.”

The family-owned Rhode Island company has enjoyed success with the game, which has also spawned a series Bananagrams-based books.

Bananagrams also offers the award-winning Appletters, Pairs in Pears and brand new Zip-It and Fruitominoes games.

Distributed in the UK by Winning Moves, the Bananagrams range was recently presented at the London Toy Fair.

Bananagrams says that retailers have reacted positively to the recently revamped Appletters and Pairs in Pears games, as well as the new supersized games, Jumbo Bananagrams and Jumbo Zip-It, which launched
last summer.
