For those finding the prospects of parenthood daunting, a new product has hit the market designed to support new parents with their confidence and playtime.

Babycademy, supported by child psychologist, Dr Brenda Todd aims to bring baby classes to the home offering new parents the tools for initiating stimulating, educational activities for their children.

The kit encourages parents to follow its ten lesson plans, designed for babies from birth to 12 months of age, tailored to adapt to the changing needs of a baby.

Through its work with child psychologists, Babycademy has ben made to support a babies key developmental aspects including language, sensory skills, intelligence, fine and large motor skills and social interaction.

Bernice Hewson, creator of Babycademy, said: "Despite there being a plethora of educational toys on the market, I struggled to find one that would support my personal playtime with my son.

"I didn't want something that would simply distract with noises and lights. I became determined to create a toolkit for all parents to use with their children to help them support their babies own learning and development processes.

"I realise the need for Babycademy and became determined to create this supportive educational and play time product. I truly hope it gives families the confidence to engage with their babies and enjoy them from day one."

The new kit retails at £50.
