This year's Autumn Fair is nearing, with the event having attracted some 16 new suppliers from the toys and games area.

The show runs from September 2nd to 5th at Birmingham's NEC. Volume halls open a day earlier, on Saturday September 1st.

The new suppliers taking booth space include The Wagon Company, Bluw, Ginger Fox and Britannia Games. They will join the likes of Ty UK, Aurora World, Keel Toys, Lucy Locket, Rubie's, Thumbs Up, Paul Lamond Games, Winning Moves, The Workshop and Smiffy's.

Meanwhile, a new feature programme for this year includes an ethical brands promotion, Autumn Fair exclusives, Creatie Britain, Talking Point seminars (covering subjects ranging from trend previews to marketing brainwaves) and the Gift of the Year Awards.

"Toy companies want a show in the autumn because buyers are keen to place late orders for Christmas - and it's their peers and competitors who are telling them that," said TPS sales manager Alex Edwards. "Halloween is also a growth area for us."
