The initial line will include 20 plush pets and each one will come with a special tag which explains how the RSPCA helps animals.

"We are sure the range will be popular at retail, where contributions from its sales will help boost funding of essential RSPCA work to prevent cruelty and promote kindness to animals," said RSPCA trading manager Cathy Snow.

Verity Groom, Aurora Marketing, said: "We are certain this range of animal plush will be a popular present throughout the Christmas period and beyond."
