Junction 18 will be storing and distributing the Asobi range from their Warminster distribution centre. Asobi’s warehouse in Taplow (Bucks) is closed and the inventory moved to the Wiltshire-based gifts distributor at the beginning of July.

The sales office has moved to Burnham (Bucks) but the contact details stay the same - info@asobi.co.uk or call 01628 200077.

Asobi will be opening a permanent showroom at Junction 18 in early September, which will be manned at the same time as the Junction 18 open days and by appointment.

Thierry Bourret, MD of Asobi said: "We are delighted to have found such an efficient and well known operator in the gift industry. Subcontracting the distribution to Junction 18 will enable John Lewis, our national accounts manager, and I to concentrate on sales and development of new products. We have some very exciting brands in the pipeline for later this year and early 2011. In only 18 months, I learned a lot about the industry and hope to learn even more from Chris Voisey and his team.”

Chris Voisey from Junction 18 says: “We have invested heavily in IT and systems to be able to offer an efficiently managed distribution service to smaller companies. We are pleased to work with Thierry and his team.”

Crafty Kids also signed a distribution agreement with Asobi earlier this year, which has now been extended to worldwide distribution, except in North America where Crafty Kids has a licensing agreement with Alex.
