Amerang picks up Maisto and XQ

The former Rebel Toys brand Maisto will be redistributed from January 1st.

Model specialist Amerang has announced the acquisition of the popular Maisto die-cast brand.

Maisto was previously represented by Rebel Toys, which
ceased trading yesterday.

Amerang will also represent the XQ range of R/C products.

David Mordecai, chief executive of Amerang said: "I am delighted to announce that as from 1st January 2012 Amerang will become the exclusive UK distributor for Maisto.
 
Maisto is an iconic brand in the R/C and die cast arena and will be an excellent addition to the current Amerang brands.

"This is exciting news as Maisto is one of the most important and well known of all hobby brands and more importantly with Paul joining, he will bring much knowledge, experience and expertise to our team."

Paul Holland has also joined Amerang as sales and product director.
