Alvin and the Chipmunks arrive at Build-a-Bear

Firm links with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products to offer make-your-own Alvin and Brittany plush.

From November 25th, consumers will be able to make their own Alvin and Brittany, stars of the third instalment of the family film franchise, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, which is released in cinemas on December 16th.

Also available will be mini Alvin and the Chipmunks friends, Simon, Theodore, Jeanette and Eleanor in pre-stuffed mini form, all dressed in island clothing.

Maxine Clark, Build-A-Bear Workshop founder and chief executive bear, commented: "Fans of Alvin and the Chipmunkswill be excited to find these friends at Build-A-Bear Workshop.

"Our Guests will love taking home these characters from the big screen for endless entertainment long after the credits roll."

Make-your-own Alvin comes in a Hawaiian t-shirt while make-your-own Brittany comes wearing a fuchsia slip dress. Additional outfits include a white tux for Alvin and a salsa dancing dress for Brittany. The accessories, Alvin, Brittany and friends will be available in stores and online at

When shoppers purchase an Alvin or Brittany plush, they will receive a virtual chipmunk for their online character to redeem on, the Build-A-Bear Workshop online entertainment destination and virtual world.

Additionally, all customers will be able to view an Alvin appearance on The Chloe Show and enjoy two Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked trailers in the Bearville theatre.

Build-A-Bear Workshop will also offer a Chipwrecked Screening Sweepstakes on the Build-A-Bear Workshop Facebook page from November 25th to December 11th. Guests aged 13 and older will be able to enter to win a private screening of Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked for themselves and up to 300guests.
