A Girl for All Time's 'Clementine, Your 1940s Girl' has been named as one of the Industry Choice Winners in Dolls Magazine's Children’s Play Doll of the Year category.

The public can now vote for their favourite doll in this category, with the overall winner being announced by Dolls Magazine in November 2014.

“I am thrilled that Clementine has been chosen by the industry judges this year," said Frances Cain, of brand owners Daughters of History.

"Since her launch last year, she has proved immensely popular with existing fans of the range who’ve eagerly added her to their collection, as well as with those only just discovering A Girl for All Time.

"Her distinctive look, so intrinsically linked to the 1940s period she represents, has set her apart from our other beautiful companion dolls and she brings a completely new experience and historical background for children to enjoy. I’m confident she’ll prove popular in the public vote and look forward to the results in November.”

The A Girl for All Time range aims to provide girls with a 'sophisticated, intellectually stimulating play companion' who will take them on authentic adventures through British history.

“A Girl for All Time also counters the age-compression trend, where younger girls increasingly reach for older toys – we’re embracing childhood imagination in traditional play by creating a toy that allows girls to understand and compare their own experience of childhood in a new and enriching way," added Cain.

The costumes for each doll have been created by fashion designer Katya Wildman, Emmy-nominated Caroline Harris and Shari Fuller, a historical dolls’ clothing expert.
